Description

Subspace is the realm of living ideas, the strongest desires and the most devastating fears. In 199X, mankind first began to mine subspace for valuable resources and as an efficient route for omni-dimensional space-time travel. Their efforts were put to a halt by the ideal living memory abominations that make their home in subspace.

Years pass. The young American named Ramona Flowers has traversed the now barren subspace highways unharmed thus far. However, her wrecked emotional state has attracted a new living memory.

Deep in the collective consciousness, subspace, lies a monster which embodies all of mankind's broken hearts and forlorn romance. It is the hole within what should have been. The perfect ideal of failed love.

Zatsuza Zeitgeist is the living embodiment of the evil ex.

Is this what we wished for?

Don't worry, we will understand each other some day.

And life persists into the distant future.

It's as done as it's going to be! When I first saw this contest, I knew immediately what I was going to do. If the Scott Pilgrim series was going to be a modern romantic action comedy adhering to the narrative tropes of video games, then the series should take them to the logical conclusion of having a "true final boss!" This true final ex is an homage to the legendary abominations of gaming lore: Mother Brain, Lavos, Stone-Like, the Bydo Core, Hibachi, Giygas, Red Falcon!

Truly an awesome Last Boss if I've ever seen one!

In fact, I'd describe it with one of Xero's quotes in Xionic Madness 4.

Xero: "Oh my God!
Omega: "What? I thought you wanted a truly epic Last Boss to finish things?"
Xero: "Yeah, but this is sorta overdoing it if you ask me."
Omega: "It matters not! Destroy It!"
